During his intensive concert activity Evgeny Mikhailov performed in many cities in Russia and toured abroad (in Europe, Asia, the USA, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Turkey, Morocco, Israel, etc.) performing about 1,000 concerts. His performances took place in prestigious halls as the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory, the Civic Auditorium (Los Angeles) and Steinway Hall (New York), the Berlin Philharmonic hall, the G. Verdi Conservatory hall in Milan, and so on. He has performed with many famous orchestras: the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia, Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Orchestre National de Belgique, Berlin Symphoniker, Buenos Aires Philharmonic, National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, etc. The pianist has collaborated with a large number of outstanding conductors such as V. Ashkenazy, M. Pletnev, L. Shambadal, S. Sondetskis, and many others.
For many years, Evgeny Mikhailov is a professor and head of the piano department at the Kazan State Conservatory (Russia). Among his students there are many prizewinners of piano competitions including prestigious ones as the International Tchaikovsky Youth Piano Competition. Mr. Mikhailov has repeatedly served as chairman and jury member of Russian and international competitions (including the Concours International de piano "A. Scriabine" in Paris, the US Open Music Competition, the A. Scriabin International Piano Competition in Moscow), and has conducted master classes in Russia, Norway, Switzerland, Estonia, the USA, Japan, China, etc. He was invited to lecture at the prestigious World Conference of Piano Teachers (Atlanta, USA). In 2023-2024 he taught at the Eilat Conservatory (Israel).
