Born in Moscow in 2007, Karina Ter-Gazarian has engaged in music from the age of five. A pupil of the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music, she is currently studying under the renowned teacher and Honored Artist of Russia Boris Berezovsky. She gave her first recital at age nine and has won several competitions, including those in Ruza, in Sank, Poland, and the G.Neuhaus Festival of Young Pianists in Moscow. She regularly takes part in programs of the V.Spivakov Foundation and has performed at festivals in Poland and Denmark.
Karina has performed with the Lviv Virtuosos Chamber Orchestra and with the Academy-, Tatarstan- and Province Chamber Orchestras. She has given many recitals in Armenia and Russia, performing at such major venues as the Moscow International House of Music, the chamber music hall of the Moscow Philharmonic, the Helikon-Opera chamber music hall, the Pavel Slobodkin Centre, the Mosconcert Hall and the Sviatislav Richter Museum.
