Following music studies at school, Pauline Dupuy went on to study classical music in St. Etienne, graduating with a DEM in double bass and a master’s degree in Musicology. However, it was really in the “school of life” that she learned her
profession, which she sees as multi-disciplinary. Ms. Dupuy has worked with pop groups (Angil and the Hiddentracks, Michael Wookey, chanson franחaise, La Rouille), also working in theatre, where she creates/interprets music live, often through playing a character and not simply in the role of an accompanying musician. Of late, she has been on stage accompanying dancers. Her work centres around the translation of movement into music.
Pauline Dupuy studied Alexander Technique and voice, both of which she applies in her music and performances. Classical music is the technical basis of her work; she sometimes revisits it, performing chamber- and orchestral music and in solo playing.
It is with joy and conviction that Pauline is on stage in various contexts, with groups or solo, investing wholeheartedly in each project.
